Diego Maradona doesn't seem to care about making himself look bad. Whether it was testing positive for doping at the 1994 World Cup or just saying ridiculous, insulting things, the Argentine World Cup winner does it his way and nobody else's
way. And this week, he's at it again.

At the "Hublot Loves Football" event in Paris on Thursday, Brazil legend Pele asked Maradona if he knew Lionel Messi personally, and Maradona spoke his mind on the event without knowing he was being recorded.
He siad,

"He is a good person, but he doesn't have personality. He doesn't have a lot of personality to be a leader," Maradona said.
Ouch.

Way to bash your former player. Maradona, of course, was the coach of the Argentina national team at the 2010 World Cup, and I'm not sure how Pele forgot that. Or maybe he was poking the bear of his bitter rival.

What is with these guys talking about topics like this in front of rolling cameras? They should know by now that anything they say can be picked up. No real harm done by Pele, as he was just asking the question. But Maradona is going to get some grief for what he said about Messi, be it true or not. It just doesn't look good for the former Barcelona and Boca Juniors man, but when has it ever?

Then Pele Responded "Not like Argentina now, which depends only on Messi. He [Maradona] is saying that Messi is a good player, there's no doubt about it, but he has no personality."
