Oba Of Benin Crowned As Oshiomhole presented The Staff of Office

the Edo Sate Governor, Adams Oshiomhole has presented the staff of office to the new Oba of Benin, Prince Eheneden Erediauwa

The staff office was presented to the new monarch at about 4:05pm.

Prince Erediauwa was crowned at about 2 am by the Usama N’ Ihiron also known as the Edion led by Chief Oliha

The crowning was done at a private ceremony inside the Usama Palace, a temporary building erected for the coronation ceremony, according to Benin Tradition.

The Ceremony was crowded with multitude of people as dignitaries from all works of life flooded the venue. from the Executive president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari ably represented by his Vice, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo, and State Governors.Some Notable Traditional rulers were also in attendance.

The new name of the Oba will be unveiled to the public at Urhokpota hall.
