Southern Igbos Warns Buhari To Release Mazi Nnamdi Kano With Immediate Effect

A group in the Southern Nigeria known as the Southern Nigeria Peoples Assembly (SNPA), has called President Muhammadu Buhari to Release the detained Crusader of the Indigenous people of Biafra - IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi kanu in accordance with the court order that granted him bail.

A report issued after the two day meeting held in Umuahia, Abia State, Nigeria, Signed by Chief Mbazulike Amaechi, Chief Edwin K. Clark and Senator Femi okuruonmu, Urged the Federal government to negotiate with Niger delta Militants and Biafran Agitators, in order to meet a peace resolution to to their grievances rather than the current use of force.

The Communique read in part: “President Muhammadu Buhari should respect the rule of law, pronouncements and ruling of courts of competent jurisdiction by ensuring the immediate release of Nnamdi Kanu and all other prisoners of conscience, which various courts have granted bail and who have subsequently met their bail conditions.”
