Following his inauguration of 23 Governing Council out 40 federal Universities in Nigeria, in Abuja on Tuesday, May 9, 2017. A twitter user identified as Keneike who  claimed to have witnessed the ceremony alleged that the Honorable Minister only had hand shake with the male members of the council but ignore to shake the female members as they approach him, rather he waved at them.

It was also said that Hon. Pearl Enajere (rtd) (UDU Sokoto) did not shake the women but prefer to raise his hands.
